What's the deal with Linux and sound blaster sound cards from Creative? - sound blaster sb0480 driver

I had Linux on it tries to detect the sound card in my Dell Dimension 9150 whore. I currently use Ubuntu Jaunty, and I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card. None of you know what to do in order to recognize Vuze to the sound card? Perhaps it was understandable, but I did not get the damn job done completely.
